PROMPT ENGINEERING REFLECTION
I used AI to optimize my resume to become more aligned with possible career paths that I may take: working in information systems in healthcare or sports management. The AI enhanced versions allowed “me” to present myself using workforce terminology and with a focus on industry-specific skills to make me look like a better candidate for the job. Through creating these enhanced resumes, I learned how to better engineer AI prompts to get a more desired and concise result that will avoid extra time fixing the outputs. I was able to structure my original prompt to instruct the AI to use my original resume and change only what enhances the presentation of myself on paper, in order to make sure nothing is fake, and it all still represents who I am.
The original prompts that I used to create the AI enhanced versions of my resume are:
Make a version of my attached resume that reflects a job application for the healthcare industry (on the technology side). Make relevant changes and bold them in your response, and everything not changed should stay the same.
Now optimize the original resume for being a data administrator for a major sports team
